The HDD adapter also allows you to integrate a 2nd hard drive into your notebook. A free hard drive slot will be needed for installation. If there is no spare slot, just de-install/take out the CD/DVD drive. Then the adapter can be installed instead of the CD/DVD drive with the included bolts.
