When using the car charger with the engine not running, please by all means watch the battery status of your vehicle. During a prolonged operation of the charger, the battery can be discharged!
As a rule of thumb, it can be assumed that at full power output (100W) in operation about 10Ah capacity of the car's battery are claimed. This means, for example, that with a small car with a battery capacity of 48Ah and provided the battery is intact and charged, power should be taken at full power no longer than 2.5 h. Otherwise, the remaining charge may no longer be sufficient to start the engine. For larger car batteries or campers with spare battery or solar system, of course, longer times are possible, just like when using equipment with a power consumption of less than 100W.
